| Our classes are professionally taught in a casual, relaxed atmosphere. We take pride in our teaching and your learning and enjoyment is our top priority. Our class sizes are limited so you receive plenty of personal attention from our staff. | STAINED GLASS Windows, Lamp Shades, Suncatchers, Jewelry Boxes, Terrariums, and the list goes on. With a basic class a whole new world is open to you, where you are limited only by your imagination. This is where it all begins. | |
| Beginning Stained Glass - Six week course During the six weeks you will complete one class project. You may work at your own pace at home to create other things during the six weeks and we will be happy to offer advice and assistance as needed with any outside projects. You will need to purchase your own tools for any outside projects but we offer full use of all shop tools for the classroom time. The only exception is that you will need to purchase a glass cutter. For your class project you may choose either a leaded panel (traditional style) or a copper foil (Tiffany style) panel for your first project. We have patterns to choose from that are appropriate for beginners. The tuition is $140.00 including the use of the shop tools. You will however, have to provide your own glass, lead, solder and a few other miscellaneous supplies that will be needed. We have all of the necessary items available in our shop, and you will receive 10% off of anything you purchase for the duration of the class. You don’t have to be an artist to make beautiful stained glass projects. You can do this!! | |
Intermediate Stained Glass - Six week course This is the next step up from the foil class. You will learn the proper way to construct a leaded panel. Choose from many different designs. Beginning Stained Glass is a prerequisite. | |
Fast Track Class - Two Full Days The Fast-Track Class is held all day, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, on two consecutive days. The Fast-Track Class is only held 2 - 3 times a year. The Fast-Track Class is great for those with limited time or from out of town. Call for current schedule. Class limited to six students. | |
*NEW - Intermediate Glass Techniques This half day workshop will answer many of your questions; such as: 1) How to design from a photo 2) How to enalrge or re-design a pattern 3) How do I reinforce my panel 4) Can I combine lead and copperfoil in my project? 5) Cutting glass without oil board for a pattern 6) I want to design my very own panel. | |
Jewelry Box Workshop - One Day Workshop Students will learn how to construct a three dimensional jewelry box and attach hinges to the top. Some decorative soldering techniques will be covered also. Several new techniques are covered in this class and it opens up many new possibilities for three dimensional stained glass projects. Tuition of $55.00 includes hinges, chain, & mirrored bottom. | |
Soldering Clinic - Four Hour Workshop Good soldering technique separates the professionals from the amateurs. Learn different decorative techniques for that special finishing touch on your jewelry box, sun catcher or panel. Don't miss this class . Four hour workshop tuition is $55.00 including all materials. | |
Panel Lamp Class - Two Day Workshop This class will bring you a step closer to the Tiffany lamp that you've always wanted to make. You will learn to construct a four, six, or eight sided panel lamp. Your finished lamp shade can be used for a table lamp or a hanging light to lighten that dark corner. We will have some special tools available for your use during the class. Previous stained glass experience required. | |
Tiffany Lamp Class - Six Months This class will allow you to create a cherished heirloom. First two classes are for choosing your pattern and art glass. Not so easy when you're choosing glass for 300-600 pieces! Tuition of $150.00 includes rental of mold. All the professional lamp making techniques will be learned in this class of a lifetime! Homework is required! | |

Beginning Glass Beads - Two Day Workshop Same as the one day, except on the second day you'll learn what to do with the beads. You'll learn how to string them into necklaces, bracelets and/or earrings. | |
Intermediate Beadmaking (5 hour) | |
*NEW - Beginning Borocilicate Beads Classes include everything you'll need - all clear and colored glass, minor bench torch, tools, and gas. We begin class with our orientation, then move on to melting glass and pulling stringers while realizing the viscosity of borosilicate glass. From there we then move on to the application and forming of clear glass on the mandrel and beadmaking basics. As we progress we begin to incorporate colors and some different techniques such as dots, air traps, and zig zags. All beads may be picked up the following day as they need to be kiln annealed. Tuition of $150 will include all materials and special aura glasses. | |

Fused Tiles (Three Hours) Learn different techniques for expanding your glass finesse! Experimenting with paints, micas, stringers and foils will enable you to create your own custom tiles that can be used in mosaic pieces or wall decorations. Beginning Fusing is a prerequisite. | |
*NEW - Fused Glass Clock This 2 day class will show you exciting techniques like bending stringers , incorporating larger cut glass pieces, using the torch to make custom stringers or to blow your own glass chips to use as embelishments for your beautiful wall clock. During the second class, you will learn to drill holes in glass and to assemble your clock . The tuition includes clock mechanism. | |
*NEW - Fused Glass Lace Fused glass lace can add such elegance to a piece of fused glass art. It's really effortless and no need to cut extra glass for this technique.Since these pieces are delicate, you will want to add them to another piece of glass for stability. Once you have fused them with another piece of glass, they can be slumped, draped, or put into a drop ring. | |

*NEW - Fused Pot Melts Pot Melt is a technique where fusible glass scraps can be used to create interesting fused glass color combinations and visual effects. The process produces a colorful premixed glass disk. The random patterned disk will be cleaned up and used whole or sliced to be fused into a bowl, plate or stand alone art work. | |
*NEW - Combing Glass (Two Day) | |
*NEW - Pattern Bars This is a 3-part series (take one, two, or all three and learn some of the most unique techniques in fusing processes....First session is $100; 2nd session is $150; 3rd session is $125; or all 3 for $325.Part 1. Learn basic to advanced techniques of creating pattern bars. You will create a long brick of glass that has a design embedded. We will show you how to properly load the kiln using kiln furniture. Part 2. The second session will show how to slice the pattern bar and design a project using the slices. Part 3. The 3rd session is coldworking, using special equipment. Coldworking is essential to finishing fused glass, to give it that "professional" look. The 3rd session is scheduled individually due to the equipment needs. | |

| MOSAICS | |
Mosaic Stepping Stones - One Day Workshop Use art glass to create a mosaic stepping stone or address plaque in this one-day class. You can display these beautiful custom stones in your home or garden. No prior glass or mosaic experience needed. You will have your choice of the direct method mosaic or the poured stone. | |
Mosaic Table Top Design and create your own 18" circle table top on a wood base. You will cut glass and grout to complete a finished piece. Bring your own scrap glass or purchase here. Glass-cutting experience is preferred but not essential. Everything becomes a potential base for a mosaic, once you learn how. Wood base is included in the $85.00 tuition. Wrought iron tables will be available for purchase. | |
STAGE SANDBLASTING (SAND-ETCHING) (Four Hours) Explore the creation of designs on glass through sand-etching. The use of resists, shading and sand carving will be practiced. Flat glass, bottles, plates, vases, and glasses may be used. Creative two-dimensional design will be emphasized, and students will learn how to create depth through a multi-layered approach to etching. | |

| Studio Workshop Time ($3-$6 per hr) Join us for workshops that work with your busy schedule. If you need a place to work and just a little help with a project, we have a place for you. Give us a call to assure you of needed table space. This is not a class, so minimal help is available. | |
